I don't have a ton of experience using technology outside or Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. I had some computer competency courses in middle and high school where I learned the basics of those Microsoft systems. I also have worked in a few different customer service jobs where I learned how to use basic POS systems and other organization softwares.
In this class, I hope to expand my knowledge of technology and learn new skills that will help me in any future career that I may end up in. I also hope to gain a better understanding of the importance of technology in our world today and especially in education.
I have learned that I learn new skills best by doing. I am a very hands on learner. I can read about something over and over again but I feel like it's so much easier for me to grasp an understanding of something when I can actually see and do the skill at hand. This is especially true when it comes to technology. My results from the quiz we were instructed to take showed this to be correct.
